The FAAHPN mobile app now has a Passport feature that will keep the community engaged and increase visits to FAAHPN member sites. App users can earn badges, recognition, or a free gift for visiting locations listed on the app.
Passport Check-Ins
Visitors to FAAHPN member sites can check in by:
- Location-Based Check-In: GPS verification allows visitors physically present at the site to check in.
- Photo Submission: Visitors may submit a photo at the site (e.g., near a historic marker or interpretive display).
Passport Point Collection Structure
Each verified visit earns points. Points accumulate in the visitor’s digital passport profile.
Badge Recognition & Redemption Progression:
- Visit 3 Sites → Heritage Visitor
- Visit 6 Sites → Cultural Advocate
- Visit 10 Sites → Heritage Ambassador (All Heritage Ambassadors will be recognized on the FAAHPN website and Facebook page.)
- Visit 20 Sites → Culture Keeper Ambassador (All Culture Keeper Ambassadors will be recognized on the FAAHPN website and Facebook page. Receive a complimentary FAAHPN t-shirt.)
Badges are:
- Permanently displayed in the user’s app profile
- Shareable (optional) to social platforms
NOTE: If you already have the FAAHPN mobile app downloaded on your phone, it will be automatically updated to include the Passport feature.
