About:  Jami Thomas, founded the J.D. Thomas Cultural Connection, Inc, in 2008. This mobile presentation which introduces children to historic events, is presented via field trips, conferences and festivals.

The mission is to promote self-awareness of historic events for elementary school students through the use of the performing arts, storytelling, and visual arts, in order to enhance their knowledge and self-esteem.

Programs:  A high energy; audience interactive show for elementary schools, grades K-5. The contents of the ‘traveling trunk’ consists of costumes, artifacts, documents, photos and props. There is an original song that opens and closes each cultural experience of re-enactments of historic events from the Civil War to the Civil Rights Era.
