Celebrating 25 Years!!
The African American Heritage Society will present an exclusive documentary screening entitled “Life’s Essentials With Ruby Dee”, Saturday, September 12, 2015, 7 PM, at The Jean and Paul Amos Studio, WSRE-TV, Pensacola State College. This occasion is the 25th Anniversary Celebration of The African American Heritage Society.
The film is an open-letter style documentary in which Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis’ rich lives guide their grandson, Muta’Ali, on his personal quest to master lasting love, conscious art, and undying activism.
Muta’Ali has grown from a young director of short titles to an accomplished filmmaker with a range of experience. He has directed over seven feature-length documentaries for artists under record labels including Def Jam Music, Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Atlantic Records and Bad Boy Records. He has also directed over 125 entertainment news interviews featuring actors and recording artists. Mata’Ali has directed projects for high-profile clients including Ebony/Jet Magazine, The Monique Show and Delta Community Credit Union.
Producer NJ Frank has an instinctual talent for photography and film. He began making a name for himself producing major projects for clients including AAA, The Monique Show, Michael Mauldin’s Fastlife 360, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Universal Music Recording artists Bun B., Atlantic Music Recording artist T.I. and Johnson Publications’ Ebony/Jet Magazines.
